Stitching and such

This is my Cleopatra Queen of Egypt that I have been working on a lot this week.  I am going to continue to work on it since I am enjoying it so much.  It is unfolding nicely.  

Besides stitching there really isn't much going on.  Just trying to deal with something's in my life and get myself back up on my feet. Stitching has really helped to keep my mind off everything this's week.  First row is finished!  Now onto second row!

Monday musings

Stitching update

I finally made a date in my stitching if Cleopatra.  This is from last week.  I am excited with the way it is turning out!  I can't wait to work on her some more. 

I put this one aside to work on Queen of Egypt.  This one goes a little faster only because I use tent stitches instead of full xs.  I can't wait to get farther along on this one also.  I want to hurry up and get these finished for my living room.

My 17 year old daughter started a Mystic Stitch free one.  She hasn't really done a lot on it.  But I think the stitching bug has gotten a hold of her.  She was so excited about jumping in to it.  She wanted one that didnt have a whole lot of confetti.

Finally page two is finished on Queen of Egypt!  I am so thrilled.  I am stitching away on page three.  I am excited eith how quickly it is going.  I have been trying to make a good dent and do some catching up which is fine.  So far I am getting there. 

Been working my butt off and am pretty wore out.  I want to get some more charts but first just trying to get bills caught up and all that good stuff.  The kids are getting ready to go back to school.  Thank Goodness.  I am so ready for them to go back to school.

Stitching news

This weekend I worked on Peacock Garden.  I didn't get as much stitched on it as planned.  But I did get about 100 stitches in it.  I am hoping to get more done on it this weekend.  It is coming along nicely and I love the colors. 

This week I am working on Cleopatra and it is stitching together rather well.  I am hoping to have a page finish this week.

Other goings on

Nothing much to report on homefront.  Just been really busy and all.  Trying to get into routine with work, housework, and time for stitching and time for kids.  I sm always tired lol.  But it is worth it.  I am glad things are getting better. 

Stitching news catch up

I havent really done a whole lot of stitching in past couple of weeks.  My glasses broke and then started working.  I am trying to come up with new ideas for my blog.  It will be a work in progress.

As for stitching, this is the one I am working on in rotation.  Cleopatra is coming along slowly.  Just taking it slow so I can get back in groove and a routine.   Especially now that I am working.  

I want to get second page finished.  I need to get my needles smoking again. 

Weekend stitching

Restart

I restarted Peacock Garden.  I am stitching it on weekends.  Which I am finding fun to do.  It gives me a break from my focus pieces.  I feel better about this restart.  This time I started it at the.bottom.  Love the colors.

Other stuff

My friend Lorraine moved into her new apartment.  She really likes it.  We spent the night over at her house Saturday night and we had fun. 

Progress time

After being sick in bed for a week and stitching to make some progress on Cleopatra.  Here is new picture.  I am enjoying this.  I didn't want to put her down but I am trying to stay on my rotation.  I really want to hurry up and finish one and soon.  But as they say patience is a virtue. Lol

My stitching adventure :-)

Cleopatra is coming along.  I really like tent stitching. I have almost the second page finished.  I was hoping that I would get it finished before rotation but I didn't get to. 

I was able to do some.stash shopping!  I bought another chart this past week and some.fabric.from Silkweaver.  I can't want to get it started when it gets here. I bought the sister chart to the Cleopatra that I am working on.  I am excited to start and finish it so that I can hang them next to each other.

I have found a stitching buddy.  Even though she lives in England we still chat and stitch every day.  It is fun.

Stitching update

Stitching has been going well.  I restarted two of my HAEDS.  First one is A Colorful Past, the second is Cleopatra Queen of Egypt.  I feel better about both now. 

I decided to try the tent stitch on one of them and am quite pleased with it. I was afraid to try it, but it is working out pretty well.
